Accessory: Recordable Button
When designing the giant mechanical keyboard switch, we contemplated making it say something when you smacked it. Ultimately, we decided that a recordable button would just be a fun accessory to go along with it!
Project: Giant Mechanical Keyboard Button
Another design by Caleb Kraft, this one is fairly simple but packed full of fun possibilities. It is a giant button from a mechanical keyboard. Internally, there's a Raspberry Pi Pico doing keyboard emulation, so when you smack this button you can make it do different things. By default, it functions as the biggest capsLock you've ever had. However, the code is very flexible and you could choose any keystroke. You could even chain multiple buttons to a single pico!
Parts included
- 1x arcade button
- 5x screws (m3x 8mm)
- 1 teeny tiny raspberry pi
- 2x springs
