July - Mini Boombox

I had a lot of fun designing this little mini boombox. It actually started life as a much bigger project but the sound that came out when I had it on my workbench for testing was much more fitting of a boombox that fit in the palm of your hand. 

It may not shake the walls with sound, but it makes up for it in style.

This month's accessory

Purple laser! Admittedly, I'd never seen a purple laser in person. I ordered these simply because I thought that was just too cool to ignore. Pictures don't capture the purple color, but in person it is really neat. 

We've also included a tiny mirror in your kit. If you take off a speaker grille, stick the mirror to your speaker, and point the laser at it, you get a cute little light show! Use this laser stand we designed that allows you to insert and twist your laser to keep it lit. 

Filament

The filament for this month is supplied by Dudv2 out of Texas. We met them in Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Reprap Festival and we were surprised to see dual color PETG. That was new to us, so we had to give them a try.
