This tip saves my 3dprints from coming off the bed every week

I'd like to share a tip with you all that for some will be old news, but for those of you who are discovering it today, its going to make you very happy. 

In short, there is a library of little files built into your slicer that will help you out considerably and you may not know about it. 

In prusaslicer, if you right click on any object and then select "add part", you've got several options of basic stuff like "box" and "sphere". The one I'd like you click on is "gallery". Inside here are a bunch of 3d models you can add with a click. 

Why would you want to do this? 

here's a great example of how I use it and it saves so many prints for me. 

The "helper disk" is in this library and I use them for small or thin first layers. 

Check out the image comparison above (looking at the parts from below so you can see the contact with the bed). That's a part that I print very frequently for my hobby The Controller Project (a charity for gamers with disabilities). As you can see, on its own(left), the first layer is anemic. It frequently pops off the print bed on my bedslingers. By adding a couple helper disks overlapping the edges of the print(right), it stays still. Its like a special purpose brim that goes only where I want it. 

I find the other items to be of dubious utility, but the helper disk is a game changer. If I have a part that has one corner that pops up? helper disk. If i have something skinny? helper disk. I love them. 

There are a few other helpful things in that right click menu such as svg and text but I'll save those for another blog post.
